OtsHaatik Dantza

Herri GogoaOTS arises out of the drive to reinterpret the cultural cutting edge, as reflected in what was the Basque Country's first record label: Herri Gogoa. Although the label never actually existed officially, because of censorship, it managed to release more than two hundred records with the aim of revitalising and renewing Basque culture.

OTS is more than a mere work of contemporary dance; the choreography created by internationally renowned dancer and creator Jone San Martín from San Sebastian aims to satisfy, surprise, evoke memories, and above all convey widespread awareness of the need to bring art to the people behind this movement. A legacy built on top of another legacy.
