TxalapartaKukai Dantza + Jesús Rubio Gamo

Txalaparta is a new creation arising from the meeting between Kukai Dantza and Jesús Rubio Gamo. It has no limits. It is a space of freedom. Seven performers navigate the emotional space offered by the meeting point between traditionally rooted dance and a contemporary vision. A rhythm which arises from the earth, strikes in the present and rains as a voice onto the bodies built between memory and the construction of the future.  

Txalaparta is the sound formed by the percussionists' blows, but once the musical act has ended, no one is the owner of what has been heard. You cannot seize hold of it, its nature defies any fixed form, each blow becomes an act of liberation which shapes the soul of its worker. The ways we listen to and perceive our own body become more profound, take flight. It is the multiplication of the potentialities of action; the evidence of this dough of different materials of which we are made.
